Dick Van Dyke Won For Outstanding Guest Performance On ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers

The show started by awarding the Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama. Robert Gossard, who plays Marshall Ashford on General Hospital, won.

Daytime Emmys

Gossard was genuine and humble, two things everyone wants to see in a winner. Next, Courtney Hope, who plays Sally Spectra on The Young and the Restless, won.

Hope dedicated her Emmy to all the mothers who lost a child. Her big storyline this year was that her character had a devastating miscarriage. Her performance was heartbreaking.

Dick Van Dyke won for Outstanding guest performance in a daytime drama for his stint on Days of Our Lives. He became the oldest Daytime Emmys winner, which was a sweet moment.

General Hospital won for best writing team, which was a surprise. GH has been experiencing some difficulty in that department and was criticized for its merry-go-round of writers.

As an avid fan of GH, it should be said that the writing was hit or miss this past year. But the acting is always superb.

Jennifer graduated high school with honors, went to Delaware Community College, and earned an AA degree in Communications and Journalism. When not writing for Daily Soap Dish, she has a pet website at www.pawsomepets.info. Jennie also authors articles for veterinarian offices. She volunteers at a cat rescue called Cat Angel Network and has two beautiful Ragdoll cats named Columbus and Sassafras. Jennie adores General Hospital and loves to write spoilers and predict what characters will do next. She has been watching GH since the days of Sonny and Brenda in the ninety’s and watches it faithfully to this day. She is happiest when she is writing and creating.
