Home and Away: Tane is arrested over the baby

Things have escalated to the worst possible scenario – Tane has now made national headlines, with the police appealing for any information on the suspect involved in this kidnapping. Everyone watches with horror as the nightmare plays out publicly. Tane, at his cousin’s house with the baby, sees his own face on the news. Panicking, he calls Mali and asks him to bring his passport.

Mali arrives with Harper in tow, which Tane isn’t happy about. Mali reveals that he didn’t bring Tane’s passport because fleeing the country is ridiculous, and that Tane should just come home. Harper tells Tane they’ve found the mother, who loves her baby, and is desperate to have her back.

Hearing this, Tane is at a loss for words. He knows that it’s time to face reality. Together with Mali and Harper, they return to the police station with the baby safe and sound. It’s a tearful reunion between Poppy and her mother, who promises to never leave her again

The sweet moment is short-lived, however, as the police finally place Tane under arrest. Harper visits him alone in his cell later, trying to reassure him that she can get him the best legal help. But Tane is grim – he’s broken the law and kidnapped a baby, so he needs to face what he’s done.

Meanwhile, Rose now also has to deal with Lyrik getting caught with pills in their possession – all thanks to Theo. She tells them that their van is going to be impounded for the time being.

Theo’s drug test comes clean. He tries to tell Rose that the drugs are all his, and that Eden and Kirby have nothing to do with it, but Rose isn’t taking any chances. She places them all under arrest and tells them they have to spend the night in the holding cell. Eden, furious, calls the only person left who can possibly help, and the last person she wants to call – Levi.

Levi arrives and bails them out. Eden is incredibly grateful, and the two share a sweet sibling moment as Levi shows her he’s there for her. Just when things look like they’ll end on a happy note, Eden walks out into the car park to see Levi and Mackenzie kissing. Crushed and betrayed, Eden calls him a cheating liar and storms away. Have Levi’s actions finally caught up with him?
