Home and Away fans point out a problem with Justin and Andrew storyline

Home and Away fans have pointed out a plot hole in Andrew and Justin Morgan’s ongoing storyline.

Viewers in Australia were introduced to Andrew in recent scenes when Justin discovered a bag that contained a mysterious message, leading him to help the newcomer.

After being treated in the hospital, Andrew is now safely in the care of Justin and Leah Patterson. However, fans have been left puzzled by an aspect of the story.

Justin’s previous storyline saw him narrowly escape jail time after assaulting Conor when Ava Gilbert led him to believe she was being kidnapped.

He was instead sentenced to 500 hours of community service, and many viewers have since questioned why he would be allowed to take the troubled child to his home given his criminal past.

One fan posted on social media: “No way a guy who got out of jail time for abuse, doing community service and been rejected in the past to foster kids be allowed to even have this child in his custody and make decisions for him lol.”

Another said: “I don’t understand how a bloke who is doing community service and was lucky to escape jail for being violent, is allowed to take a troubled kid home, just like that. Yes, yes, I know it’s a show, and yes I like Justin, but seriously.”

Earlier this week, James Stewart praised co-star Joshua Hewson, who plays Andrew.

Posting a behind-the-scenes picture of himself with Hewson and Theo Poulos, Stewart wrote on Instagram: “I’m so stoked he’s come onto our show. He’s funny as.. bright.. cool to hang out with and is definitely goin places!”

The scenes between Justin and Andrew will begin airing in the UK in about six weeks’ time.
