Y&R Recap – June 6: Ashley Discovers Alan’s Dark Secret While Unraveling Her Fractured Psyche

Ashley’s Paris Apartment

Ashley pours herself some coffee with shaking hands. She thanks Alan for staying with her and says she’s going to keep drinking coffee as long as it keeps her awake.

Alan says that if Ashley hadn’t insisted Traci go to sleep, she’d be here with them. Ashley is lucky to have siblings who care so much.

Ashley says Traci has been her rock in a storm; she’s stood by her through so many things… Her whole family has, though this “particular journey” might be pushing the limits a bit.

Alan says she’s pushing her own limits; her hands are literally shaking! He tells her that adrenaline and exhaustion can be a messy combination.

Ashley says she’ll see it through.

Alan says it could be detrimental to push herself this far.

Ashley worries that her alters will take over if she falls asleep… That could ruin everything!

Alan says her alters have taken over while she’s awake, too. The weaker Ashley is, the easier it is for them to take control!

Ashley says she’s scared… One of them could take control at any time, and she doesn’t know when she’d get it back! She doesn’t want to risk it.

Alan says none of them have gained control in a long time… Ashley’s much stronger than when they began this process. The more Ashley knows about her personalities, the more power she’ll have over them!

Ashley says she doesn’t have enough power to figure out why they appeared in the first place.

Alan knows that’s the ultimate goal, but she’s made good progress in a short time… She remembered the bar and his brother, and with each memory she regains, they’ll get closer to unraveling what happened that night.

Ashley isn’t sure she wants to know… She’s afraid to find out.

Alan says that’s completely normal, and it’s not going to be easy, but that’s why she needs rest… She can start fresh in the morning with Traci by her side.

Ashley says there’s no resting for her; she just found out that Alan’s twin brother is a sociopath, and he’s targeted her. She can’t sleep knowing that!

Alan says that Martin is a dangerous man, but he advises her, as a professional, that she needs to face her trauma so she can reintegrate her alters and become whole again.
