Home and Away fans have dramatic theories on how fan favourite will leave show

Home and Away fans have started speculating how fan favourite character Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) will leave the show, with her departure only a couple of short months away.

Jacqui has been playing Felicity since 2021, and given it is Summer Bay after all, Felicity’s time in the not-so-sleepy beachside town has been nothing short of dramatic. She arrived after her brother Cash moved to Summer Bay to work as a policeman, and went from an erratic party girl to a loveable character and part-owner of Salt.

One of Felicity’s biggest storylines has been her love story with Tane Parata. Even though the two disagreed on marriage and children, they eventually wed (one disastrous wedding car crash later) but later split after Felicity said she would reconsider kids but then kept taking the contraceptive pill behind Tane’s back.

Unfortunately, somewhere in all of this Felicity was also drink-spiked and sexually assaulted, just because she hasn’t been through enough in life.

With Felicity/Jacqui set to leave the show around September, Home and Away fans have started speculating how the storyline may come about.

While all is relatively chill in Felicity and Tane’s world now, with Felicity embarking on a romance with new River Boy, Rory, and Tane planting his seed in Harper where he looks as though he’ll finally fulfil his dream of becoming a father, fans are convinced Felicity will still be broken hearted over the news of Tane’s pivot to Daddy.

In a Facebook group, fans have started speculating all the different ways Felicity may leave the Bay.

“My guess is it might have something to do with Harper being pregnant given the timing of it all. Because the River Boys storyline should be buried by then,” one person said. “She will be devastated about Harper having Tane’s baby and leave the Bay,” another agreed.

“Nah I don’t believe it has anything to do with Harper she may be a bit shocked at the start but Felicity has moved on and she seems happy,” someone else said. “Plus, she doesn’t leave until September so I am pretty sure she would find out about that way before then.”

Some other fans’ theories were a bit more dramatic.

“I read she gets shot and dies. Could be while she’s with her new boyfriend,” one person said. “Someone gets shot, so hope it’s not Felicity, they say Mali so we will see,” another added.

Most people agreed though, whether it was crime, violence, or shock pregnancies, that Felicity’s new love interest Rory could have something to do with it.

“I reckon she gets arrested with the River Boys and goes to jail,” one fan speculated. “She leaves with the River Boy,” another agreed.

Some people, however, were just straightforward with their theories. “[She leaves] in a car I’m guessing,” one person quipped.

Well, if there’s one thing we can guarantee, it’s sure to be dramatic either way.
