Home and Away brings in new bad boy for Mali Hudson storyline

Home and Away introduces Mali Hudson’s older brother Iluka on UK screens next week.

Dion Williams has been cast in the role of Iluka, who surprises Mali with an unexpected visit to Summer Bay.

Iluka’s arrival comes as Mali is enjoying some rare time alone with his girlfriend Rose Delaney.

Mali looks forward to enjoying the empty farmhouse with Rose while his housemates are away. However, when they return home one afternoon, Mali and Rose are concerned to find that the house door is open.

Mali’s concern turns to joy when he’s greeted by Iluka, who boldly broke the lock to the house to get in.

Although initially concerned, Rose is quickly won over by Iluka’s charms and agrees to give the Hudson brothers some space to catch up.

Once Rose is gone, suspicious Mali questions Iluka on why he turned up out of the blue.

Iluka tries his best to avoid the question, but Mali knows that his troublesome older sibling often has an ulterior motive.

Mali calls his sister Elandra for some answers and is worried to hear that Iluka is in trouble.

When Iluka realises that Mali won’t let it go, he reluctantly explains that he has recently been hanging out with the Allens – a dangerous family they’ve known since childhood.

Iluka reveals that the Allens wrongly suspect him of grassing them up to the police over some stolen goods. This has led to Iluka visiting the Bay to hide out from the potential repercussions.

Later, Iluka enjoys settling into the Bay and takes an immediate shine to Kirby Aramoana when they meet for the first time.

Iluka confidently asks Kirby out, so she agrees to go for a drink with him once she has finished work for the day.

The next day, Mali spots Kirby and Iluka on the beach together and worries about his friend being taken for a ride.

Mali discreetly warns Kirby that Iluka isn’t a reliable choice for a long-term relationship, but Kirby admits that she’d already guessed that.

With Kirby keen to have some fun, will Mali’s intervention stop her from pursuing things with Iluka?

Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, on Channel 5.
