For Adam, the festive season is all about reuniting with his family in Albury Wodonga, along the New South Wales-Victoria border. “Mum always puts on a big spread for lunch, and we all end up in a food coma afterward,” Adam shares. Boxing Day traditions are equally important for him, as he spends the day playing backyard cricket with his old school friends. The actor is looking forward to some downtime after the demands of filming this year’s gripping episodes.

Meanwhile, Juliet, who was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in Perth, will be breaking tradition this year. “I usually go back home to Perth,” she says, “but this year I’ll be staying in Sydney with family coming to visit.” While she’ll miss certain nostalgic customs, such as having fried eggs and ham—something passed down from her grandfather—Juliet is excited about creating new traditions. “We’re all going out for lunch on Christmas Day and getting fresh seafood from a fishmonger for Boxing Day,” she reveals, embracing a new Sydney twist to the celebrations.

Adam is also looking to experience something fresh during the holidays. Having lived in Sydney for a few years now while filming Home and Away, he admits he’s never seen the iconic New Year’s Eve fireworks over Sydney Harbour. “I’m thinking maybe this year I’ll stick around and finally check them out,” he says, adding that he’s eager to soak in the city’s festive atmosphere.

Both actors reflect on the challenges and highlights of the past year on the show. Juliet’s character, Bree, tackled a powerful storyline involving OCD and found herself entangled in emotionally complex situations, while Adam’s Remy faced the fallout from a terrifying motorbike accident. Their characters’ on-again, off-again relationship has also kept fans on edge. Despite these heavy arcs, Juliet and Adam are optimistic about what’s coming in 2025.

Juliet shares her excitement about the upcoming season, hinting that Bree will face a gripping medical emergency that places her at the center of the drama. “Things get really exciting next year,” she teases. “We’ll also see some new faces join the Bay, and I can’t wait for viewers to meet them.” After settling into her role on the show over the past few years, Juliet feels confident and grateful to be part of the beloved Aussie series. “I’ve really found my groove and learned to enjoy the work,” she reflects.

As Home and Away fans eagerly anticipate the show’s return, Juliet Godwin and Adam Rowland’s journey—both on-screen and off—is a reminder of the importance of traditions, reflection, and embracing new beginnings.
