It was bizarre enough that The Bold and the Beautiful had Hope call Finn “the total package” at his mother’s memorial service. But in a deleted scene from the episode (which you can watch below), the doctor floated an idea that defied all logic: He suggested that she consider reuniting with Liam.

 Did we hear that right — Liam?!? The hypocritical jerkface who refused to forgive Hope for kissing Thomas overseas, even though she’d already forgiven him for sleeping with Steffy because he couldn’t tell a mannequin from his wife? The fickle waffler who moved straight from dumping Hope to writing off their marriage as a mistake and macking on Steffy as if she wasn’t perfectly happy with her husband? That Liam?

We suppose Finn could’ve just been trying to shore up his relationship with Steffy by ensuring that Liam was otherwise occupied. But still, what kind of turkey recommends going back to the guy who treated her so crappily? It’s like saying, “I don’t care about you enough to want better for you.”

For Hope, the exchange should have been a major red flag, one that exclaimed, “OK, this guy is not that bright!” But we have a sinking feeling that it was just a precursor to the Finn/Hope affair that is obviously coming. She did warn Steffy that one day she’d be sorry for breaking her and Thomas up. And that day could well be the one that Steffy finds her in bed with her husband!
