The Young and the Restless spoilers for August 26 finally give some details about what Cane did in the six years he was away from Genoa City. Will everyone find out, or will this be something for Lily or another person’s ears only?

Cane’s History

Cane (Billy Flynn) showed up in Genoa City in 2007 pretending to be Phillip Chancellor III. He’d been paid by the real Phillip to do so. Eventually, the truth came out, but Jill (Jess Walton) still has a soft spot for him.

When Cane left town six long years ago, he had a son named Sam from an affair with his assistant, Juliet Helton. Lily tried to coparent Sam with Cane alongside their twins Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry), who were much older at the time. Since Cane’s return to GC, Sam hasn’t been mentioned.

Mattie and Charlie seem pretty frustrated by Cane, and aren’t too willing to embrace him since his return to the states.

Recent Past

Now, it looks like Cane plans to reveal at least a little bit of what he’s been involved in during the six years he’s been gone. He obviously became Aristotle Dumas, but what else has happened?

Cane mentioned that his father, Colin (Tristan Rogers, who recently passed away), had died. Presumably, Cane and Colin did some things together. Victor (Eric Braeden) recently speculated that perhaps Cane and Colin did some con jobs together over the past six years.

So far, Cane hasn’t really provided a great accounting of what he’s been doing the past several years, but maybe that will change. Of course, how is Lily or anybody else in Genoa City supposed to believe him after all his lies since he’s returned? His Aristotle Dumas game certainly eroded any goodwill or trust anybody may have had in him.
