The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, September 12, put Michael between Cane and Victor. Will Michael break and beg Victor’s forgiveness, or will he help Cane bring down the man who has been so awful to him for so long?

Michael Torn Between Cane and Victor

While Michael (Christian Le Blanc) was working for Victor (Eric Braeden), his boss was his first priority, even at the expense of Michael’s wife. He did everything he could to protect Victor. Victor responded to Michael’s devotion by excoriating him for not being devoted to Victor enough, firing him, and teasing him about letting Lauren (Tracy Bregman) call the shots in his marriage. He could not have been more obnoxious.

And yet Michael keeps coming back to him, still more worried about Victor than he is about himself. We realize Michael was raised by an abusive stepfather, so a destructive relationship with a paternal figure is all he knows. But it’s still sad — and painful — to watch. Now Victor wants to settle some unfinished business. What do you want to bet Michael is in for even more abuse? In fact, Y&R fans fear for Michael’s future.

Cane Tempts Michael With Power and Payback Against Victor

Cane (Billy Flynn) offered Michael a job. For more money than Victor ever paid him. Likely more respect, too. Will Michael do what’s best for him?

Then again, Cane has an illegal (and impossible, but who’s counting?) computer virus poised to take over the world. Michael probably shouldn’t get involved in that, either. Hey, how about a vacation? Somewhere far away from Genoa City.

Sally Weighs Billy and Phyllis’ Risky Plan

Sally (Courtney Hope) was there when Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) spilled the beans about Cane’s evil plans… and Billy (Jason Thompson) thought they were aces. Cane wanted Billy and Sally to join him in keeping Victor in check. He’ll give them his impossible program if they use it to attack Victor. It’s illegal, it’s immoral, and it likely won’t work.

Billy and Phyllis are all about reckless, self-destructive plans. But will Sally be deluded enough to go along?
