The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that series alumna Meg Bennett, who portrayed Julia Newman, Victor Newman’s first wife, has sadly passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Bennett graced the show with her presence from 1980 to 2002. In honor of the show’s 45th anniversary on March 26, 2018, she reprised her role as Julia Martin.

Bennett made another appearance in 2020 to celebrate Eric Braeden’s 40 years of portraying Victor Newman on the CBS soap opera.

Bennett was a writer on other soap operas, including ‘General Hospital’ from 1993-2011, as well as writing on ‘The Young and the Restless and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’.

Meg Bennett, known for her role as Julia Newman on the show, has passed away at the age of 75.

It’s terrible to hear the news and we wish the best for her family during these troubling times. She certainly left her mark on the industry and in particular, ‘The Young and the Restless’. We will miss her. Rest in peace, Meg. She was 75.
