Fri May 3, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, the paramedics work on Jack and bring him back, Victor catches them holding hands and warns Jack to stay away from his wife.

Meanwhile, Claire visits Harrison, and Nick and Victoria embrace their mother, supporting her decision to go to rehab.

Thursday’s recap: Jack Collapses After Combining Pills and Alcohol, Taking Drastic Steps to Convince Nikki to Quit Drinking

Victoria and Nick share a drink at Society. Concerned, Nick asks if she’s doing alright.

Victoria admits that she finally managed to sleep through the night, having come to terms with the fact that Jordan is gone for good.

Nick mentions that Summer has been incredibly tense lately, like a coiled spring. Victoria expresses her sympathy.

Nick says they all had their doubts about Claire. Victoria admits she did too for a moment.

Cole brought her back and kept her well-fed. Nick snickers. She has a look in her eye when she talks about Cole. “Shut up,” she says.

“You shut up,” he retorts, wondering how long it’ll take until they move in together.

She rolls her eyes and admits they had a slight connection.

He’s been there for her. Nick thinks he’s a good guy and is happy if things work out.

Victor meanders in looking for Nikki who hasn’t come home last night.

Nick worries that Jordan survived the fall and has her but Victor says that’s impossible and he doesn’t know what to do.

Nikki’s been drinking again. Victoria knew it.

Victor gets a ping on his phone.

His security team thinks they know where she is so he races out.

Nick and Victoria worry about their mom but know she can finally focus on her recovery now that Jordan is not alive.

They rehash things and hope they can find her help.

At the GCAC, Jack’s still stretched out on the sofa and the paramedics are looking after him.

Nikki asks how he is.

The man says they gave him a shot to counteract the opioids but he’ll need to follow up with his doctor.

CBS

Nikki’s beside herself with worry. He asks if she’s taken anything and she says not pills. Just booze.

The paramedic says to make sure he doesn’t take anything else.

Next time he may not be so lucky.

They leave as Nikki vows to make sure.

She’s sober as she asks Jack to wake up.

CBS

He’s confused as he comes around so Nikki tells him about the pills and booze.

He clutches his head and she cusses.

What the hell was he thinking?

CBS

She tells him that what he did caused her to rethink things.

She’s going to rehab. Jack’s proud of her. She’s so sorry about the horrible things she said to him last night.

He brushes her off. He couldn’t leave her.

She asks why he risked himself. He’s not sure. Instinct?

CBS

She thanks him and they hold hands just as Victor shows up.

He walks in through the open door and slams it, demanding to know what the hell’s going on here.

Nikki asks why he’s there. Victor yells, “What do you think I’m doing here? I’ve been looking for you all night!”

Jack apologizes.

Things got out of control.

CBS

The ambulance was for her. Nikki saved his life.

She says Jack was just trying to help but Jack tells him that he slipped. He owns this.

Nikki denies that’s how it happened. Victor doesn’t ‘give a damn’ how it happened.

Nikki tells her husband she’s ready to go to rehab. She’s so sorry, knowing she disgusts him.

Victor tells her to get cleaned up. They’ll go home.

She goes to the bathroom and the men eye one another.

Victor is angry Jack was supposed to protect her.

Jack couldn’t take that he couldn’t help her and took the pills to make the pain go away.

Vic says what Jack did was unconscionable. Jack agrees but Nikki turned a corner.

Victor rolls his eyes. He wouldn’t have saved Jack’s life.

Nikki returns and gets the pills from Jack before they leave.

From the Abbott mansion, Kyle calls someone looking for Jack since he hasn’t come home.

He hasn’t been seen so Kyle disconnects. Claire turns up, surprising Kyle.

She tells him she’s fine to be out but she’s shakey.

CBS

He’s glad she’s safe and Harrison will be too. She came to see how he was.

Kyle says he’s holding up okay. He’s a tough kid.

She starts to head out, thinking it’s best she doesn’t see the kid or he’ll be reminded of Jordan.

Kyle disagrees. He’s been asking about her.

CBS

He asks her to wait until he wakes up.

She feels guilty but he knows she’s not.

She disagrees.

She’s the reason Jordan terrorized the family.

They go back and forth on this.

CBS

Jordan’s gone and Claire says she felt relieved but afraid it wasn’t true.

She’s grateful she made it out.

Harrison runs down the stairs and right into Claire’s arms, glad she’s there.

Summer strolls in, taking in the scene.

Summer says it’s good to see Claire back, knowing it was quite the ordeal.

Claire says everything turned out good in the end. It’s a bit awkward.

Harrison wants Claire to read to him but she thinks his mom wants to spend time with him.

They’ll do it another time.

CBS

Harrison and Summer are glad Claire’s back.

They go upstairs and Kyle does an I told ya so. Claire calls Kyle and Summer good parents.

She talks about how crappy her life was with Jordan and Summer returns.

Harrison wants to see his dad. Claire offers to talk to him about their ordeal if need be before she goes.

Summer can tell Harrison’s not doing well and thinks they need to deal with it.

CBS

He made a house for his bunny and talked about needing to add doors and locks to keep the bad people out.

He asked if Claire is okay and when she’s returning.

Summer thinks that he doesn’t know what to do with his feelings and needs to see someone.

Kyle agrees. Summer says she’ll be his nanny. She’ll work it out.

Whatever it takes, nothing else is more important than ensuring his safety.

At the Tack House, Victoria jumps on a call, searching for Claire since she’s not home.

Claire walks in and Victoria disconnects and demands to know where Claire was.

She explains she was checking on Harrison.

Victoria hugs her daughter, “Never worry me like that again.”

CBS

They talk about not having to worry about Jordan and Kyle being okay with her coming around.

Claire laughs when Victoria gets all mama bear about her. Claire says Summer was civil. It must be hard to see her in the house.

She didn’t trust her before and Claire doubts it’ll change.

Victoria knows a mother’s first instinct is to trust a child.

She’ll come around. She gets a text and tells her kid Nikki’s home. She has to go to the main house. She leaves.

At the main house at the Newman ranch, Victor complains about Jack being a terrible sponsor who matched her drink for drink.

Nikki stops him. Does he want to hear the truth or keep blaming Jack because he can’t face that his wife is a hopeless drunk?

She was already wasted when Jack got there.

He was desperate to shock her by joining her in her misery.

Victor calls it a stupid idea. He could have lost her!

Nikki talks about wanting rehab. For him and the family. He doesn’t want to hear Jack’s name again.

Nikki goes to pack for rehab.

Victor says she’s doing the right thing. He knows she’ll come out of this stronger, and healthier than ever.

He embraces her as she cries. “I love you, okay?” He says. She loves him.

Nick and Victoria arrive as Nikki’s bringing her rehab bag downstairs.

She tells them she had a terrible night.

Worst yet but an important one.

CBS

She’s going to check herself into rehab.

They’re relieved but didn’t know it was that bad.

She hid it, she says. No more hiding. She asks them to take care of their father. They share a group hug.

Jack arrives home to the Abbott house, tie in hand, looking like death warmed over.

Kyle jogs down the stairs. “Dad, you’re okay.”

He takes in his father’s appearance and comments.

They discuss Claire coming by and how she and Harrison have a bond.

Jack opens his door to Victor who warns never come near his wife again.

He exits, leaving Jack to sigh.

At Neil’s Lounge, Nate tells Audra he thought they were friends, and that’s what friends do. They tell each other the truth.

Audra asks Nate if he’s sure that’s all it is.

In Lily’s office at Chancellor-Winters, Lily asks Mamie what this meeting is about.

Mamie says, “I would prefer to wait until everyone arrives.” She promises it’s going to be worth it.

At the Tack House, Victor asks Cole how his relationship is with Victoria. “Has something changed?”

At the Abbott mansion, Diane yells at Jack, “You have thrown away years of sobriety for Nikki Newman!”

Jack argues that his sobriety is not at risk.

Diane asks Jack how she’s to know if he has pills on him right now.
