So, if you’re a fan of daytime dramas, you might remember James Hyde from his roles on As the World Turns as Lam, Another World as Neil, and most notably as Sam on Passions. When he joined The Young and the Restless as the villainous Jeremy Stark, fans were thrilled. However, his comeback to daytime TV didn’t last long—barely a year, in fact.

Now, while it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to a soap villain, we usually get to see our favorite stars in other projects. And that’s exactly the case for James Hyde! The former CBS soap actor recently took to social media to tease an upcoming role. He even shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of his new project.

Hyde teased, “Will announce when it gets close to air date.” Fans couldn’t contain their excitement, flooding the comments with their support. Even one of his past Genoa City castmates, Michelle Stafford (aka Phyllis), showed her support with four high-five emojis!

Now, if you need a refresher, it was Stafford’s character who ultimately took Jeremy out for good. Remember, it all started when Jeremy and Phyllis teamed up to get revenge on Diane. However, when Phyllis had second thoughts about their plan, Jeremy threatened her life. In a tense struggle, Phyllis ended up stabbing Jeremy and disposing of his body in the river—later discovered by Chance.
