Any Bold & Beautiful fan can tell ya that a character can only try to kill Steffy so many times before she’s written off. Unless she’s Sheila, in which case, it’s like, eh, whatever. But Luna, not being her granny, has seemingly reached the end of the line following her latest, disastrous attempt to do away with the stepmonster that she holds responsible for her non-relationship with newfound dad Finn.
You know, instead of the fact that she fatally drugged two dudes and already tried to shove Steffy into the grave. In Luna’s mind, she’s said sorry, so what more could anyone want?
Visit Advertiser websiteGO TO PAGELisa Yamada joined Bold & Beautiful in 2023, at which point her character was presented as all sweetness and light. But after it appeared that Dollar Bill was her Daddy Warbucks, her dark side emerged, and she embarked on her murder spree to ensure that the gravy train didn’t stop rolling.
Along the way, Luna also deliberately got high on mom Poppy’s special mints so that she could cheat on boyfriend RJ with his cousin Zende — we’re still as confused as you are — and became obsessed with Bill’s son, Will. (Review the Luna-tic’s whole story here.)
In the July 8 episode, viewers learned that during a struggle over Luna’s gun, Sheila had been shot in — oh, gee — the foot. Later, Steffy’s ex Liam came bursting in, and Luna gave him a hole in the chest where previously there had been none. As if he didn’t have enough life-or-death issues to contend with!
Finally, to Luna’s astonishment, Liam picked up the gun and, reckoning that he was already a dead man aiming, shot her. (Read the recap here.) Post-surgery to remove the lead with which Liam had filled Luna, her grandmother Li announced that she had died in recovery. But had she? Had she really? (We were seriously skeptical, and here’s why.)
When Yamada was cast on the soap, she was already a young “old vet.” She made her movie debut in 2012’s Smashed, with Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, appeared in series such as Party of Five and All American, and was a regular on Cruel Summer. The rising star even has her next gig lined up: She’ll be recurring in Elle, the prequel to Legally Blonde.
And just because Luna was pronounced dead doesn’t mean that she couldn’t come back in the future. Sheila, Finn and Li were all unkilled, and look at Taylor: She’s awfully lively for someone who was bumped off twice and suffered from broken heart syndrome. There are already hints that Luna may not be quite as gone as Steffy might like to think. (Review the clues.)
