The Young and the Restless star Elizabeth Hendrickson’s new role as director has her working on many sets. From the Newman ranch to Society to Crimson Lights, Hendrickson is directing her castmates in various scenes. While it’s fun to work with all the sets, the actress has a few favorites.

Playing On Set

Hendrickson is relishing her role as Y&R director. One of the perks of the job is working on all the sets, something she didn’t get to do often on screen. The star recently posted an Instagram video with a tour of the show’s sets.

“From acting in the scenes to directing them…now I get to play in ALL the sets,” she captioned the post. Hendrickson then offered praise to the crew and started a discussion about favorite sets.

“Which @youngandrestlesscbs set is your fave?! I’m loving the redo of The Abbotts’ House + Newman Ranch. I would also move into the Tackhouse if I could. Huge shoutout to our set designers + decorators for their magic. Which ones do you miss?”

Hendrickson’s question was met with interesting responses. “Love Billy’s house set, modern and very stylish❤️❤️ . Great job Sally👏,” wrote one fan.

“Really miss the backyard/pool area at Newman’s from WAY BACK when Nick & Sharon were teenagers! Haha,” one longtime viewer replied.

“I miss Michael & Lauren’s apartment,” one commenter wrote.

Y&R has created many iconic sets throughout the decades. Some sets have since been retired or undergone transformations, like the recently redecorated Abbott mansion. Whether it’s someone’s home or a Genoa City hangout, the crew and designers work hard to create beautiful scenery. While some designs are hit or miss with fans, the sets are an important part of Y&R history.
