Home and Away: Harper’s decision shocks Tane

Harper agrees to look over Tane’s youth programme proposal before he shows it to John. He’s grateful for her expertise, but she’s privately struggling with her feelings for him and tries to back out at one point.

Ultimately, Harper relents and continues to help her friend, but when Tane talks business later, her mind is drawn back to their steamy encounter at the gym.

When John rejects the proposal, a disappointed Tane reports back to Harper and looks set to drag her back onto the project when she’s suddenly overwhelmed. She warns him that she can’t do this and she’s pulling out.

Meanwhile, Levi’s in danger at the hospital and Mackenzie is on edge as Bree takes him into theatre. When Rose arrives hoping to get a statement from her, she breaks down and inadvertently reveals that Mali is the one who got them into this mess.

Feeling that she needs to know, Mackenzie calls Cash to alert Eden that her brother is in hospital, and she reluctantly turns up. Watching he and Mackenzie from afar, she’s content just to know that Levi’s being cared for. She tells Cash that she doesn’t need to go in..

Rose tells Mackenzie and a recovering Levi that she needs to know the truth about what happened, regardless of how Mali and Iluka are involved. Mac has Mali’s request to keep quiet on her mind when she reluctantly offers up the identities of the Allens. Levi adds that they took Iluka. Will Rose be able to bring back Mali’s brother?

Elsewhere, Cash is tiring of unemployed life and admits to Eden that he needs to find something to do. When he runs into Rose at the hospital and Harper later at the surf club, he’s reminded by each of his time in the police, and by the end of the day he has made a decision to rejoin the force.
