The Outlander universe is getting even bigger and I can’t contain my excitement we’ve got a brand new prequel series coming our way called Outlander Blood of My Blood and even the name suggests that it will be the perfect replacement for the original series which is about to come to an end very soon the good news is we already know what will the series about and even got a bunch of sneak peeks into the shootings so without further Ado let’s talk about it a couple of months ago Entertainment Weekly dropped the first look photos and oh my

goodness they’ve already got me hooked we’re introduced to two Central couples Jaime’s parents Ellen McKenzie and Brian Fraser played by Harriet Slater and Jamie Roy and Claire’s parents Julia Morriston and Henry bamp portrayed by Herm corfield and Jeremy Irvine Ellen and Brian are giving us all the Highland romance Vibes in their Tartan holding hands and sharing such a tender moment and Julia and Henry they’re serving us old school romance with a drive and sweet Embrace I don’t know about you but I’m already swooning it’s like you can

feel the love radiating through these photos speaking of iconic as I just mentioned dogall and colum McKenzie are back well younger versions of them at least a newly released photo shows Sam retford as dugall and Sheamus McLean Ross as colum in their youthful days standing in front of the McKenzie Throne dugall looks fiery and ready to Take On The World while colum has this calm yet commanding presence knowing their intense Dynamics from the original series I’m so curious to see how their backstory unfolds their roles shaped so

much of J’s journey and now we’re getting to see how they became the men we’ve come to know and maybe love to hate let me know what you think we’re also getting familiar faces like Murdoch Fraser Lord loette jasta Cameron and Mrs Fitz it’s like a reunion but with so many new layers to uncover and honestly I’m here for all the drama and the heartfelt moments they’re sure to bring I’m particularly excited for Murda and jaka as their longtime fan a part of me hopes crazy for these two to somehow come across with each other even back

then and perhaps hint at their romance in the future what do you think I mean from this first glance alone I can confidently claim that they nailed the historical accuracy the vibe and the atmosphere of the era plus even though there are almost no familiar faces in terms of the casting I can already tell that this show will create brand new stars that will captiv the world very soon like with such characters at hand there is no way that these young cast members would not shine honestly these photos are worth obsessing over let’s go

back to the original set of photos for a second in the image of Ellen and Brian there’s this undeniable warmth and intimacy that pulls you right in the way Ellen’s hand rests gently in Brian’s with the Lush Highland backdrop it’s like stepping into the pages of a Timeless romance they look so comfortable with each other like they’ve shared a thousand whispered Secrets it’s the kind of connection that makes you believe in true love and then we have Julia and Henry a totally different vibe for sure but equally captivating in my

opinion they’re in this elegant car dressed impeccably for the World War I era and there’s this quiet intensity in the way they look at each other you just know their story is going to be filled with depth and passion these photos aren’t just Stills they’re Promises of the emotional Journeys we’re about to go on so what’s this new series all about Blood of My Blood dives into the love stories of jimie and Claire’s parents set in two very different worlds we’ll follow Ellen and Brian’s romance in the 18th century Scottish Highlands and

Julia and Henry’s Love Story during World War I in England it’s being brought to life by Outlander showrunner Matthew B Roberts and the incredible Merill Davis with Diana Gabaldon herself on board as a Consulting producer even though it’s not directly based on Diana’s books it’s going to give us a deeper look at the roots of Jamie and Claire’s Bond and that whole Destiny thing that makes their love so iconic in a recent interview Roberts couldn’t hide his excitement and honestly same he said we’re thrilled to be telling the stories

of these two couples the origins of their relationships explore Universal themes that transcend time periods and we’re so excited for fans to discover and fall in love with these characters and their love stories the way they have with Claire and Jamie I mean how can we not be excited right right Diana Gabaldon has been spilling some tea too she’s not just Consulting she’s also writing scripts for both this prequel and the final season of Outlander can you believe she said it’s easier to write scripts than novels apparently it

takes her only about 3 weeks to whip up a script oh and get this Blood of My Blood is based on the synopsis of the first book in a planned Trilogy about Jaime’s parents that’s right there’s potential for more seasons if all goes well fingers crossed looking at the Mackenzie Brothers in their Prime and seeing the tender beginnings of Jamie and Claire’s family has me feeling all kinds of emotions it’s like we’re stepping back in time but we’re still so connected to the heart of what makes Outlander special this series is diving

into themes of Love loyalty and sacrifice that we know so well remember how Claire and Jim’s love transcends time itself that’s what makes their story and hopefully these new ones so magical seeing those first look photos I’m already getting Vibes that Ellen and Brian along with Julia and Henry might just capture that same magic what do you think do you feel the chemistry too and oh we need to talk about the parallels ja’s and Claire’s parent stories running side by side sounds like the perfect way to explore how their Destinies were so
