The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Rebecca Budig Knows Fans Are Upset About This

The Bold and the Beautiful star Rebecca Budig has addressed an issue that a lot of fans are simply unhappy about: the fact that she now plays a character that she looks much younger than.

In an interview with the  TV Watercooler, Rebecca talked about her age difference with the last person who plays Taylor Hayes, actress Hunter Tylo.

When asked about the age difference, she said, “Well, I think that’s why I ultimately thought I wasn’t right for it! Because I was younger than Hunter, for sure.”

Rebecca continued, “There is an age difference, but that’s not for me to worry about. [Laughs] Ultimately, I’m a mom and I can relate to being a mom and caring about your kid and caring about grandkids. I’ve got many nieces and nephews that feel like my grandchildren. I think that it’s ultimately a ‘feeling’ that you relate to.”

I was surprised but I was also super-excited because it’s such a great role. I really had no idea until I started to really dig deeper. For me in particular, I like playing someone that’s not a ‘bad girl.’ It’s just fun. It’s different.”

Well, it seems like a lot of The Bold and the Beautiful fans would disagree.

Some commented with, “Budig took the role cause wants to get PAID. It’s only one person to blame for this casting.”

“It’s funny because Thorsten is 14 years younger than Ronn and that was the complaint he received when he started.”

“However I guess the major difference is Rebecca looks younger then her age so despite Thorsten being a few years older she looks considerably younger!”

Another critic wrote, “The age thing is just weird and I honestly don’t understand why she took the role when she was so wrong for the part.”

“Brooke didn’t have children until B&B had been on the air several years and now her children are older than the actual show.”
