The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) went to Italy, believing she could turn her true love’s head. So, why would Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) allow that same man, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), to go without her? Taylor told Brooke’s defending sisters, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and Katie Logan (Heather Tom), that she trusts Ridge. But that’s not the soapy point.
Viewers saw the setup from across the Atlantic as they prepared for yet another of this soap’s money-in-the-bank location shoots that delivered as fabulous.
The Italian sights have proved satisfying, as expected, with the created triangle between Ridge, Brooke, and Nick Marone (Jack Wagner) being questioned.
Brooke’s destiny could be with Nick because he wants to devote himself to her again. As Wagner’s returned character said, Ridge hasn’t ever fully committed to Brooke and isn’t with her now. So, why consider him a good option?
Eric Forrester Was A Sidewalk Supervisor
Images of Eric Forrester (John McCook) offering repeated admonishments to his adopted son about Ridge’s paternal brother, Nick, may remind fans of certain personality types they know.
These would be the people who gather on the sidewalk to offer their weighty takes on how a summer house project should be handled without wanting to get their hands dirty.
Why didn’t Eric go after Nick himself?
Fans know that Eric was capable of pickleballing his way out of a bad marriage to Quinn Fuller and swapping her for Donna.
So, he was more than able to head Forrester Creations’ latest fashion extravaganza while also ensuring that Nick is detained or misdirected by a portion of FC’s fashion staff. That didn’t happen, and so disaster is ahead.
But instead of doing that, Eric is lamenting Nick’s progress while telling Ridge what he should be doing before, during, and after the fact. With credit due to McCook, who remains as vibrant as ever in his role as the Forrester patriarch on this great show.
Taylor Hayes Has Herself To Blame
Taylor recently proposed marriage to Ridge, which felt desperate. She felt insecure and feared Brooke’s continued influence, with Ridge going along with the ask because he’s willing himself away from Logan, as Eric rightly says.
Budig’s character will only have herself to blame if Ridge convinces himself that developing, dramatic circumstances in Italy represent a call to change his life. Taylor will be devastated if Ridge breaks their engagement, as it now seems plausible.
Brooke Logan Takes A Dip In The Water
The fabulous trip the Forresters and Brooke planned was coupled with Nick’s intentions. He was determined to convince her to leave Ridge behind.
What Nick didn’t count on was the steering on the boat he’s captaining jamming. Of course, Brooke was lounging dangerously on the back half of a water vessel and took a dip in beautifully blue water.
This is the exact reason why Taylor should have been with Ridge in Naples, Italy. But she wasn’t, which left Ridge time to obsess about Brooke and Eric to push him back to a perceived love.
