It’s Aries season!

While their soap opera characters don’t necessarily share the same birth sign, they most definitely share the same traits:

Hot and passionate, the sign of Aries is ruled by Mars, the battle planet. Those who have a strong Aries in their charts definitely know how to win a fight.

Aries are often described as fiercely independent, which can lead to some impulsive moments — and maybe a touch of impatience if they’re not careful! They are also great at starting projects and are seen as having an entrepreneurial spirit.

Known to be a competitive sign, those under Aries are famous for their confident and assertive natures. Ultimately, Aries like to win and are willing to fight for what and who they believe in.

Whether the writers take inspiration from the actors, and infuse their alter egos with their classic astrological traits, or the actors channel it themselves, we can’t help but recognize the strong Aries energy coursing through their characters.

On Y&R, Eric Braeden’s Victor Newman and Melody Thomas Scott’s Nikki Newman have had their fair share of battles over the years. Whether it’s against their own demons, each other, corporate rivals, or, most recently, Jordan Howard, you can’t help but recognize the classic fiery Aries in Genoa City’s first couple.

On GH, Kirsten Storms’ Maxie Jones is as feisty as they come. Whether fighting for her family, her company, or just to ensure things go her way at whatever event she’s planning, Storms helps ensure Maxie is a force to be reckoned with. As a single mother of three, Maxie’s not above accepting emotional support from her family, but don’t expect her to just accept a handout during her times of need. Because she’s as independent as she is feisty — just ask Spinelli.

We certainly can’t discuss the fire sign without mentioning B&B’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, whose Steffy Forrester is the embodiment of an Aries. Fiercely independent? Check. Entrepreneurial? It’s a Forrester requirement. Competitive? Years of battling Hope for Liam, anyone? Confident? Assertive? Check and check. And talk about a warrior. She battled Sheila and won — for now, at least.

Then there’s Days of Our Lives’ Tamara Braun. As Ava Vitali, she portrayed her character’s domestic side as she cohabitated with Rafe, but otherwise, it’s been one fight after another for the former mob princess. While Ava’s known to be the aggressor (in at least Susan’s case, she turned up alive, so bygones!), her most recent battle with Clyde had her finally retaliating against the drug kingpin who forced her to do his bidding. It might not have worked out the way she intended, but it doesn’t get more impulsive than going rogue on John and Steve mid-plan.
