Yellowstone’s The Madison ‘renewed for season 2’ months before first season premiere

Yellowstone spin-off series The Madison has reportedly been given the green light for a second season – months before the debut season has even aired.

Set to debut in late 2025 or early 2026, the spinoff crafted by Taylor Sheridan will chronicle a fresh family relocating from New York to Montana.

Michelle Pfeiffer will headline a stellar ensemble cast featuring Suits’ Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox and Beau Garrett.

The latest addition to multiple planned spinoffs, The Madison appears destined to become another massive success for Paramount+ following Yellowstone’s predecessor series 1883 and 1923.

Cindy Holland, Paramount’s Chair of Direct-to-Consumer, stated: “On Paramount+ today, we have a really great foundation, which is the Taylor Sheridan universe.”

Meanwhile, CEO David Ellison dubbed Sheridan “a singular genius with a perfect track record.”

The forthcoming season will reportedly shoot, partially, at Sheridan’s production facility in Texas.

The Madison’s premature renewal certainly backs up assertions that Yellowstone remains Paramount’s most profitable franchise by far, even following the departure of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton from the original series.

Not only will the new spin-off offer a fresh take on ranch life as an upscale city family heads to rural Montana, but most of the fan-favorite Duttons are also set to continue their saga.

A whopping four spin-offs have been confirmed to be in development, with whispers of a secret fifth branch.Cole Hauser and Kevin Costner

News has been sparse regarding the Four Sixes Ranch spin-off and the 1944 prequel for a while, but other projects have been advancing and appear to be slated for release in the next couple of years.

Luke Grimes is set to reprise his role as Kayce Dutton in the upcoming Y: Marshals, which will air on CBS.

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are also making a comeback as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in their own series.

Lastly, it was recently revealed that a series named Rio Palo, supposedly set in the Yellowstone universe, has started filming in Ferris, Texas.

It’s anticipated to be a completely new installment not featuring any established characters, though that doesn’t exclude the chance of surprise appearances from some familiar faces.
