On April 19, Susan Walters celebrated a momentous anniversary: “38 years and counting” with her real-life husband, Linden Ashby. “Life is a

roller coaster,” she said, “and there’s no one else I’d rather be with on this ride.”

The couple met back in the mid-’80s when the long-gone ABC soap Loving cast them as cousins Lorna Forbes and Curtis Alden. “We started dating in October, and we were married within six months of our first date,” the actress recalled for Soap Opera Digest in 2022. “Years later, I said to my mom, ‘You never said anything about the fact that I was marrying this person after knowing him for less than six months and I was only 22. What were you thinking?’”

Maybe Mom knew a perfect match when she saw it. The couple now has two daughters and has worked together on Melrose Place and Teen Wolf. They Hollywood power couple also teamed up to co-direct a couple of Lifetime movies, The Wedding Arrangement and Nightmare Neighborhood Moms.

The Young and the Restless made co-stars of them, too, just this past year, but alas, Diane and Cameron only briefly crossed paths. On second thought, maybe that was the best. She doesn’t tend to need any help making bad decisions, and the villain was nothing but poor choices!
