… and Now the End Is Near, the Final Curtain
With Young & Restless leading man Conner Floyd having been announced as Days of Our Lives’ new Chad DiMera (the role vacated by Billy Flynn, now Cane Ashby), it’s safe to assume that his days in Genoa City are numbered. How will the legacy character be written out? Consider the options below…

Collateral Damage
Cane is sure that someone is about to try to kill him; in fact, that’s why he invited Chance to his party in Nice in the first place. Were the GCPD detective to intervene in an assassination attempt, he and not Cane could wind up being the one sent back to the States in a pine pox.

None of My Business
With a war brewing over Chancellor Industries, Chance could decide just like he did when he briefly became an exec that he wants no part of boardroom backstabs and front-office fracases. In this case, he could not only bail on the corporate intrigue but leave Genoa City altogether.

Mother-and-Child Reunion
In fact, if Chance pulled up stakes and got the hell outta Dodge — well, Genoa City — he could elect to go West and spend some quality time with mom Nina Webster in Los Angeles. Heaven knows that the author would love nothing more than the (cough) chance to dote on him.

Father Time
Chance could also go adventuring with his pop, Phillip Chancellor III. Once it came out that Cane was not Phillip — good luck making that math work with Flynn in the role! — and that the real McCoy was alive, the fellas finally bonded and even went to the Himalayas together in 2019.

No Military Fatigue Here
Though Nina would flip her lid if her son re-enlisted and once again put his life on the line, Chance (here John Driscoll) could very well do just that. At least in the Army, he’d never be called upon to arrest his girlfriend’s mother, as he had been as Genoa City’s one and only policeman.

A Grand(ma) Idea
With Jill Abbott’s health having taken a turn for the worse, Chance could seize the opportunity to be there for her — not just emotionally, either. He could rush to his grandmother’s bedside and make himself invaluable as one of the world’s hunkiest caretakers.

Summer Loving
Chance’s romance with Summer Newman came to an abrupt halt. If he’s still harboring feelings for her, he could go straight from France to Italy in hopes of wooing her away from the new Marchetti exec who has tied himself to her heartstrings.

Brother Act
Chance’s relationship with half brother Ronan Malloy was rocky at best. But when the chips are down, Chance would still be there for him. So if the cop got wind of his sib being in trouble, you can bet that the good guy would haul butt to extricate him from whatever situation he was in.

Well-Suited
However slight, there remains a chance that Cane could recruit the detective to work at one of his many companies overseas. Chance could think to himself, “Hmm. Maybe it wasn’t business I hated so much as it was… um… certain people that I worked with.”
