What’s Wrong With Michael?

That’s the question on one soap opera message board. The original poster noted that Michael (Christian LeBlanc) is a “mere shadow of his former self, and he seems to have lost his cojones somewhere along the way.”

Despite dropping Victor (Eric Braeden) like a hot poker, he still wanted his former boss to beg him to come back. Michael hoped that Victor would be jealous of him working with Cane (Billy Flynn). However, Victor would only use Michael to get info from Cane, and Michael would go along with it.

“Particularly the way Victor enjoys watching him beg. I believe if Victor threw a stick and said, ‘Fetch,’ Michael would bound off and pick it up!” the original poster concluded.

One person wrote, “I couldn’t agree more. Such a shame. I used to like Michael. Victor uses him and casts him aside all the time. He needs to have some self-respect.”

Other fans wondered whether Michael enjoyed being Victor’s fixer. “He enjoyed the stealth and the plotting as much as Victor,” another person wrote. Michael heeded Lauren’s warning and cut ties with Victor, but some part of him could regret his decision.

Headed For a Dark Path

Understandably, Y&R fans are shocked by Michael’s decision to work with Cane. It’s as if he’s going from one powerful man to another.

He once considered Victor a “father figure.” It seems like he needs that influence in his life. How will Lauren feel about Y&R’s Michael working with Cane?

Fans fear that Michael could be headed down a dark path if he’s not careful. “He turned to the dark side,” one fan warned. However, other fans think he’s just become Victor’s lapdog.
